View Full Version : Parapachymorpha ova info wanted...

Can anyone tell me what size Parapachymorpha sp. ova is. I think I have 2 but am not 100% sure. They are about 2mm with what looks like cracked brown/cream surface colouration.

Very difficult to tell, I first thought they were seeds, but have seen something on another site that looks very similar to what I have got. I tried to take some pictures but my camera macro will not focus on anything so small.

I am going to separate out the females from my main tank and put them into my viv to see if any are laying, if they are then I'll quite happily bag up and send some on for you.

Got about 12 ova up to press, and they certainly are eggs as I squished one this morning, it had dropped between the glass and kitchen paper and I put a little more pressure on it that first thought.

The male and female of this species look extremely different!

My female turned black for a short while (a little over 24 hours) and now she's back to the colour you can see in the picture above. This is what she looked like during her darker period.

Thx for the offer but im looking for the real spiny ones. I cant quite remember but im sure Rob aid that the other species, quardraspinosa or something like that only had 4 main spikes, sounds like yours pictures :S
