I found this and someone thought it was a praying mantis, but it doesn't have claws. I think it's a stick bug, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what it is? I don't think I have stick bugs in the shrub steppe dessert. It might be a introduced species. I have a picture.

I might just try and feed it until it grows, then see what it is.

It's sort of like a stick bug. It looks like a piece of grass. I think I'm going to try feeding it the thing that stick bugs eat. It blends in with grass or twigs really well. I hope it's a stick insect. I have never had one.

herba brevis flavus. I named it herba brevis flavus. It means yellow short grass. So it's first name is herba, which means grass, becuase it looks like grass. It's second name is brevis which means short, becuase it's not very long. And it's last name is yellow, because it's yellow.

Now I have a really good picture of the stick insect.
