I have had my A.FALLAX nymph (Just Hatched) for about 3 days now :). I have offered it bramble and rose because they're the only food plants I have. And it has eaten nothing :(! I have offered it old bramble but nothing . I will post pictures of where I am keeping him/her. He/She is with Indian nymphs. Is this the problem ? He/She is in a 60cmx50cmx50cm cage (HeightxWidthxLengh). Packed full of food. He/She has been running round the cage today. I am really confused :(! Please Help!

Food. More rose than bramble because I have 30 Indian nymphs and only one A.FALLAX nymph. Bramble is on the right.

Try trimming the edges off the bramble leaves if the other nymphs haven't done this. I have found this species particularly difficult to raise to adulthood - 3 adults from probably 30 nymphs! There is excellent advice on Phasmatodea.com for this and other interesting species.
Good Luck!

Unfortuanatly he didn't eat and died yesterday :( Thats the third one in my care that hasn't eaten and has died as a result.

Just a complete guess but maybe he felt slightly outnumbered or lonely?

A lot of hatchlings die when they are young. I had about 30 nymphs and now I have just about 12 :( So don't worry , this is common. :)

All of the above is good advice. Also, remember that nymphs need to be in close proximity to their food to ensure that they find it. As above, cutting the edges of leaves can make them more appealing. Similarly, often smaller, younger leaves are more readily eaten by nymphs.

The nymph was walking about on the plant. Is it possibly that I spray my insects with water?
