One of my Parapachymorpha zomproi is hatching but it seems to be haveing trouble! It's legs are bent and seem to be dried up.Can I help it? This is my first hatch and I don't know whats normal or not. :(

Doesn't sound good... It's not rare, but not normal. But if the little phasmid can still crawl, it can probably shed, too. I have one of these bad hatchings at least once a month and the most get it at last.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?

hold your egg tank wet, that can prevent it. But such bad hatchings happen, even then.

I mean the ground the eggs lie on should be wet.

hi thanks again, thought thats wot u ment. im using sphagnum moss as base at moment, is this suitable? as i find it easy to maintain moistness.

You mentioned ziggy on my thread about dead phasmids and I was just wondering if you were going to pin him like I do when my insects die.
