Phasmidforum Photo Competition
Phasmidforum is holding a photo competition, giving all members the chance to get their hands on some prizes! Anyone can enter, the more the better, and it's something that anyone with a camera can take part in.
The theme
Although this photo competition isn't themed, we will have themed ones in the future. So it can be any photo of a phasmid or phasmids, the more creative, the better! Remember to think of several factors, including light, photo angle, creativity, etc.
Photos won't be judged on who has the clearest shot. Otherwise, those with the best cameras will stand a much higher chance of winning.
Rules
- Users can submit up to 3 photos. These can be of the same species or different species.
- You will have up until the 15th August to submit your photos.
- All photos must be uploaded to the Photo competition gallery, located here (http://www.insectstore.com/phasmid/gallery/browseimages.php?c=63&userid=).
- You may not vote for your own photos.
Uploading photos
- To upload photos, please click here (http://www.insectstore.com/phasmid/gallery/browseimages.php?c=63).
- Just upload your photo and add titles/descriptions if you wish; it will automatically create a folder named after your username, with your photos in it.
- Up to 3 photos each may be uploaded.
Voting
Voting may begin on the 15th. Once all the photos have been uploaded, it will then be time to judge. Users will need to head over to the gallery where the photos are posted, and leave a comment (along the lines of, I vote this photo) under the photo they think is the best. Each user can vote for their best 3 images. 1 being the best, and 3 being the 3rd best. When leaving a comment, please specify the vote number. For example:
(Best photo comment) - "I vote this photo - 1"
(2nd best photo comment) - "I vote this photo - 2"
And you get the idea.
The votes will then be collected for each photo. The winner will then be announced, along with the two runners up.
The Prize
This months prize will be a batch of Peruphasma schultei nymphs, courtesy of Morpheus UK, and a unique "Photo competition winner" forum status and badge! (How cool is that?)
Good luck!
Happy snapping, happy voting, and good luck to everyone that enters! Remember, if you've any problems or questions, feel free to PM one of the moderating team, or post in the new competitions forum.
