Jungle nymph nymphs not eating..

Is there a particular way i should be feeding my pair of jungle nymphs, because at the moment, it doesnt seem like they are eating much, and i cant see that the female has eaten anything at all!
the female is 2nd instar, the male 3rd.

i have cut all the edges of the bramble, and also put ivy in, also with cut edges, which the male seems to have nibbled.

They must have eaten, otherwise they would have died before moulting the first time.

oh, i got them as second instar nymphs tho, on the 18th December, and the male moulted soon after, so i think he had eaten properly before

today i found the female dead at the bottom of the tank.
