Hi,
I was planning on getting some ooths of the Didymocorypha lanceolata mantis and I can't find any info on it:rolleyes:, it's a pretty rare one. So I know nothing about it only that it is freaking small!
Anything would be appreciated!:D!

I'm not getting it anymore, It's far to small and it's not very aggressive so feeding is to difficult. I'm saving for Idolomantis diabolica instead, i've actually ordered a pair:D

Idolomantis are cute. Make sure you have plenty of flying food available - as they eat a LOT!

I think he did Martijn yea.

I've kept them before Dave. Hatched out some wild caught ootheca from Tanzania, grew them onto L6 or so, then sold them on.

I can get bait at my local tackle shop and hatch it on, so it's not to bad. But online will be fine.

At hte moment, I wouls have more in a months time, it's just my luck:rolleyes:but I have found someone who's selling them, they are just a bit too expensive for me at the moment. I've got 5 Hymenopus coronatus ariiving this week so i'll concentrate on them for a while:D

No, I haven't seen any recent Dave I'm afraid. You tried asking on mantidforum?

Dave

Yeah, I have a pair reserved (once they can be sexed):D £30 each which I thought was maybe £5 more than what I would charge, but I can't pass up the opportunity:)

Ian

£30 not cheap - but I guess if that's your only choice, then go for it ;)

Dave

Sounds good - was the Idolo ooth CB or WC?

Dave
10-21-2008, 03:50 PM
CB, he's got 4 of them, they are his first batch so he's not sure about them.

Ian

Ah wicked. Would be nice to see some CB hatches, Alan (ellroy) managed to rear some nymphs, and then breed them on, but never had any luck hatching the ooths.

Best of luck to whoever's giving it a go!
