Hi,
Can anyone provide any info on the duration of incubation of eggs from the Touch-me-not Stick insects ( Epidares nolimetangere ) as mine have started laying recentely. Also does anyone know any good techniques for incubating this species e.g placing eggs into moist sand??

thanks anna :)

The female lays only 1 hairy egg per week that you should let sit in the ground and keep moist enough not soaking but never dry. At a temperature of 24 ° C they are already out after 3 months. At room temperature it may be more than 7 months before your nymphs will start appearing. You should line the bottom of their home with kitchen roll and set a compost filled deli box in for your female to lay eggs then remove this and incubate seperatly.
hope this helps:)

I leave the ova in with the females and they hatch fine. Got them quite warm and humid.
