How lame am I?
Sitting in front of the computer a Friday night.
Anyway of all my Diapherodes Giganteas only one female turned out brown.
She isnt at all as beutiful as the green ones (atleast on the outside) but she was the only one, which makes her a little rare.
Will her offspring be brown or is that a lottery since her mom was green?

I like her amongst the other DG,s because she,s so different.
Cant wait to see what she will look like when adult!
DG, are definately among my favorite species but I like to think that I havent seen my
all time fave yet. I have eggs of Necroscia Annulipes and I think that they are beutiful (from pictures) and I cant wait for them to hatch.

I have three, I think.
Atleast heres three running around acting as they lived here, most of the time.
I am an oldtimer.
Wasn t anyone supposed to tell me weather I will get brown offspring from a brown
female??
I guess its a lottery since her mother was green.

Hi

It's completely normal. Female nymphs of this species can be brown or even green-brown marmorated for a stage or two. But unfortunately, every record I know turned green with reaching adulthood...

Unlucky :P Interstingly this is ironic because now your angry that she's turned green when the point of this thread was to complain that she wasn't :D

As I recall it I was more or less annoyed with the fact that I was sitting infront of the computer a Friday night. But I thought the DG was a bit rare but perhaps not as beutiful as the green ones, but that is obviously fixed now.

The green ones are pretty dang nice, but it's also nice to have something a little different:)
