Hi to all

Joined this forum on behalf of my little boy who has been given 4 PERUPHASMA SCHULTEI NYMPHS for Christmas.

Other than they eat privet, I don't know much about them. We did have 4 when we changed the foliage last week, but today when we cleaned it out we could only find 3 (and a bit of shreaded skin)

Do they bury themselves in gravel???? (told you I don't know much! lol)

HELP

Tara

Welcome Tara
you have to search the old plant very carefully, it happens to everyone that we trown away a little phasmid that looks much like a dead leaf. they usualy don,t burry themselves. it can also that the little guy is escaped... little nymphs escape much..

however.. welcome to the forum

peruphasma schultei is very fast!

i often have escapee's when im changing the foliage.
they are quite fast runners and easily get out of sight.
im sure they will turn up, if not then search the old foliage as these hide alot on the undersides.

no they wont bury themselvs.:o

Welcome to the forum Tara! As said, try searching on all the leaves, as they can be pretty hard to find.
And yea, may be good idea to search the walls and ceilings to :p

Welcome to the Phasmid forum Enchanted!

No they don't bury themselves, but try looking through all the plants and if it's not there then its probally escaped.
