Youtube letterbox

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone knows a bit about YouTube. Me and a few other friends make machinima. I use fraps, Vegas and After Effects for editing etc. However when I put videos on YouTube, I get 2 black lines running down the sides of the video. I've tried everything from stretching the video to changing its size to the height and width of the YouTube player. I've seen plenty of full screen videos, so why can't I do that too?

Oh, also, regardless of what size I make the video the lines remain the same.

I use fraps for game capture and haven't had a problem with youtube uploading.

I used Windows Movie Maker for the effects and editing so not too high tech. But I only suffer a slight band at the top and bottom. I usually run a game ress of 1600 x 1200 but knock it down to 1024x768 for frapping.

Do you know about Gmod/
I am absolutly crap when it comes to PC stuff but basicly it lets you do anything with half life props and characters

Yeh, i've got Gmod, HL2, EP1, EP2, TF2, HLD. So I'm well kitted out :P

That's our channel. You'll see that one vid has 2 big black bars and one has smaller bars. We are fiddling with the videos so all the views have been reset and stuff ; / Was also learning Hammer so I could lip sync the source characters but to my horror it doesn't work with Vista and the alternative is frame by frame animation. No way I'm doing that ;P
